This is an appeal by the People, who challenge the dismissal of a theft charge against the defendant. The basis for dismissal was the trial courts finding that the defendant was denied a speedy trial pursuant to section 18-1-405, C.R.S. 1973 (1978 Repl. Vol. 8).
